The SALSA Lab
Language development is an essential component of learning during the school years. Children and adolescents who struggle with literacy achievement often have underlying difficulties in oral and/or written language skills. Speech-language pathologists in schools can provide a range of services in support of children and adolescents with language and learning difficulties. This lab focuses on research to build evidence-based practices in schools through projects designed to broaden our knowledge about language development, child language disorders, language-based reading and writing difficulties, and to design quality tools for language assessment and intervention.
